This post presents a formal metaphysical paper developed over several months of reflective work. Although my background is in Religious Studies and writing rather than academic philosophy, I have attempted to articulate a clear and rigorous ontological structure beginning from the simplest possible insight: that Being must present itself in order to be intelligible. The paper is written in a formal style, but offered here in a public forum so that readers may critique, challenge, or develop the ideas further.

Abstract

This paper develops a minimal ontology grounded in the self‑presentation of Being. It argues that intelligible Being must manifest itself in two inseparable aspects: Presence, the sheer is of manifestation, and Coherence, the unity or that‑ness of what is present. These aspects form an irreducible Dipole, the primordial geometry of intelligibility. The Dipole’s intrinsic tensionality requires mediation, giving rise to a Triad of Origin, Structure, and Dynamism — the first structured form of intelligible actuality. A further speculative resolution is proposed in the concept of the Logos, understood as the stabilised form of the Triad and the formative geometry that determines possibility. Consciousness and creation are then treated as local and global recursions of this geometry, expressed through a neutral psychoid substrate.

The Argument

1. Philosophy begins with Being.

Whatever is thought or perceived is already underwritten by the simple fact that it is. Thus metaphysics begins not with entities, nor with mind, nor with appearances, but with Being itself.

2. Being must present itself to be intelligible.

If Being did not manifest itself, it would be indistinguishable from non‑Being. Therefore intelligible Being must present itself intrinsically.

3. Being’s self‑presentation is irreducibly twofold.

Presence — the sheer is, the outward affirmation. Coherence — the unity or that‑ness of what is present.

Presence without coherence is unintelligible flux. Coherence without presence is empty abstraction.

4. Presence and Coherence form a necessary Dipole.

Neither aspect can be abstracted from the other without collapsing intelligibility. Thus Being is intelligible only as Presence ↔ Coherence. This Dipole is the primordial geometry of intelligibility.

II. The Dipole as the First Resolution of Being

5. The Dipole is not temporal or causal.

Presence does not precede coherence; coherence does not follow presence. They are co‑present aspects of one reality.

6. The Dipole is not dualism.

It is not two substances, but the minimal relational articulation of Being.

7. The Dipole is the first geometry of relation.

Presence as outward vector. Coherence as inward vector. Their tension as the first intelligible axis.

8. The Dipole stands alone as foundational insight.

Everything that follows is a further resolution, not a deduction.

III. The Emergence of the Triad as Intelligible Actuality

9. The Dipole contains intrinsic tensionality.

Presence tends outward; Coherence tends inward. This tension demands mediation.

10. Intelligibility requires a mediating form.

A third aspect must arise: Structure — the form of Being’s self‑relation.

11. The Dipole resolves into a Triad.

It contains and expresses the Dipole at higher resolution.

IV. The Logos as Formative Actuality

(Speculative Resolution)

15. Intelligible form requires stability.

The Triad’s tensionality must resolve into a stable configuration.

16. The Logos is the stabilised Triad.

It is the first operative geometry — formative rather than merely intelligible.

17. The Logos is actual as form, not substance.

Non‑spatial, non‑temporal, non‑physical — yet actual as relational structure.

18. The Logos is the Great Attractor of intelligibility.

It is the configuration toward which Being naturally resolves.

19. The Logos determines possibility.

It is the template of intelligibility — the determiner of what can exist.

V. Consciousness as the Recursion of Being

(Speculative Resolution)

20. Consciousness is a local recursion of the Dipole.

Presence becomes outward attention. Coherence becomes inward unity.

21. The Triad recurs within the finite subject.

Origin as inward centre. Dynamism as outward directedness. Structure as intentional form.

22. Consciousness participates in the Logos.

It is not derivative of matter, but a finite expression of the same formative geometry.

VI. Creation as the Manifest Domain of the Logos

(Speculative Resolution)

23. Creation is the Logos expressed through the psychoid substrate.

The substrate is neutral monism: capable of mental and physical expression.

24. Creation is not a cosmology.

No claims are made about space, time, matter, or energy. Creation is simply the domain in which intelligible form becomes manifest.

25. Consciousness and creation are parallel expressions.

Both are manifestations of the same primordial geometry at different resolutions.

VII. Final Proposition

26. The Dipole is the foundational insight.

Presence ↔ Coherence is the first intelligible articulation of Being. All further structures — Triad, Logos, consciousness, creation — are speculative resolutions of this primordial geometry.
